After announcing iOS 15 a month ago, Apple is now rolling out the first beta version of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 to public beta test participants. Apple has already released two iOS 15 beta updates for developers, which include some of the new features mentioned during the WWDC 21 event. However, participants in the public beta test only got the chance to test the beta version of iOS 14.7. But now anyone with a supported device can try out iOS 15 Beta and iPadOS 15 Beta.

Last week, we also reported that Apple had unveiled iOS 15 Developer Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Developer Beta 2. And to live up to the name, the first public beta will also be released as iOS 15 Public Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Public Beta 2 for iPhone and iPad respectively. In case you didn’t already know, all iPhones and iPads with iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 updates support the new iOS 15/iPadOS 15.

Apple has also released watchOS 8 Public Beta 2, tvOS 15 Public Beta 2, as well as iOS 15 Public Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Public Beta 2. Both the iOS 15 public beta 2 and the iPadOS 15 public beta 2 have the build number 19A5281j. The update weighs about 5 GB, which may vary depending on your device model. According to the build number, Apple has also revised iOS 15 Dev Beta 2 and iPadOS 15 Dev Beta 2.

Speaking of features, the iOS 15 Public Beta 2 comes with the same features that were available in the first developer beta and the second developer beta. These features include Focus, Portraits for watchOS, SharePlay, new emoji, and more.

Download iOS 15 Public Beta and iPadOS 15 Public Beta

As you already know, the first public beta of iOS 15 and the public beta of iPadOS 15 have started to distribute to public beta test participants. Apple said the public beta would be available in July, and the company has delivered, which I’m sure we’re all looking forward to. Users who have recently installed the iOS 15 public beta profile or iPadOS 15 beta profile will receive the update on their devices. You can manually check for an update by going to Settings > Software update.

Since this is a beta version, it may have a few bugs, but if you don’t mind the small bugs, you can try the new beta version. However, do not install it on your primary device. If you want to test the new iOS 15 public beta, but you haven’t installed the new beta profile yet, you can check out the following guide.

Go to Apple’s beta software website to install iOS 15 public beta and iPadOS 15 public beta
.
Then scroll down and click Sign in if you have an Apple ID.
On the next page, select the appropriate operating system for your devices, e.g. iOS 15 or iPadOS 15.
Scroll down to the Getting Started section and tap Register an iOS Device.
Now you need to install the profile on the next page. To do so, click on the Download Profile button.
A new Loaded Profile option appears in the settings. Go to the new section and define the profile.
Restart the device after installing the profile. And you’re ready to install iOS 15 Beta 2 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad. You can also install iOS 15 Public Beta 2 with the full IPSW file via the Finder or iTunes.
